SQL Engineer – The Driver
In Proffiz’s Formula 1 SQL Engineer is a driver who helps win titles. You will take part in database functionality and architecture development for products in such domains as document management and digital photo software. You are going to be an important team player and your own success is the success of the whole crew!

🏎 The Race 🏎
You are going to take part in a race for digitalization, in which you will have to move on two tracks.
Here you’ll work with the application that will empower users with a variety of photo editing possibilities, like background objects removal, separate elements, shapes cut, photomontage, one-click image correction. Also adding textures and frames and numerous adjustment possibilities like filter use, effects, and other image parameters.
The second route will be document management – a solution that allows you to create, convert, and edit your PDF documents, like Google Docs.
We are talking about products that the average person uses every day to make work and life easier and you have a chance to join this process!
Your driving experience
> Minimum 1 year of experience with DBMS MS SQL Server
> Strong knowledge of T-SQL
> Understanding the principles of OLTP-system construction;
> Experience with building ETL-processes
> Good performance of SQL-queries
> Experience with SSMS, MS Visual Studio, MS SQL Profiler
> English level at least intermediate
> Would be a plus – experience with large volumes of data and data warehouses

The race begins with a warm-up lap – you may call it – onboarding. During the warm-up lap you meet the HR-manager who solves various organizational questions, guides you around the office, adds you to internal communication channels, provides you with the needed equipment, etc. Then meet the client, the team, drink a cup of tea or coffee and start exploring the project.
After a warm-up lap, you are ready to the race in which you will be involved in:
> database architecture development, creation, and modification of existing business logic of Database, preparation of data for analysis and reports
> database normalization, indexation, and optimization
> writing triggers, stored procedures, and functions, the ability to analyze query plans, testing code
> working with data arrays, extracting, transforming, and loading data
> development and maintenance of query execution to the linked servers
> technical documentation development and implementation
The Driver Assessment
> HR Interview (30 minutes)
